Achieving success in English medium instruction using computer‐mediated terminology pretraining under the problem‐based learning pedagogy

Background Implementing English medium instruction (EMI) has become a proliferating measure in higher education to embrace globalization. Nevertheless, university students reported various challenges taking EMI courses. Objectives This study investigated the effect of computer-mediated terminology pretraining on students' success, regarding their efficacy courses, self-directed learning (SDL), and performance. Methods Participants were 86 enrolled two educational psychology Students experimental group assigned tasks for 13 consecutive weeks, while those control did not receive assignment. Both groups taught using problem-based (PBL) pedagogy with structured whiteboard. Results Conclusion The findings showed that enhanced learners' response efficacy. increased SDL under PBL pedagogy. Besides, multigroup comparison results demonstrated positively predicted SDL, which was related better performance but group.
